Total Station (Conventional)

Conventional Total stations are optical / electronic instrument leverages for surveying and building construction. It is an Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) integrated with electronic transit theodolite in order to measure the slope distance from one particular point to the instrument, horizontal and vertical angles, and on-board laptops / computer devices to download and store large sizes of data to perform triangulation calculations. The conventional total station comes with a microprocessor, a large storage system and an electronic data collector.

Total stations are primarily leveraged by civil engineers, and land surveyors, either to record topographic surveying or to set features like houses, roads, or boundaries, etc. These Conventional Total stations are also leveraged to record excavations by archaeologists, to take measurements of scenes by insurance companies, by police, crime scene investigators, and private accident reconstructionists.
