(First Electronic Basal Area Factor Scope and Dendrometer)

STOCKPILE VOLUMES:

Typical Stockpile Measurement Procedure:

  • Walk around the pile, temporarily marking instrument points that will afford full coverage of the surface.
  • Choose a starting point, set up and configure the LTI MapStar system or TruPulse laser with the MapSmart software.
  • Aim and shoot all necessary points on the pile from the starting location.
  • After collecting your last data point, aim and shoot to the next instrument location and then occupy that point.
  • Continue shooting the pile from each new location until the entire surface has been measured.
  • Either transfer your field data to your PC for processing or perform volume calculations right in the field following a few steps found in MapSmart + Volume software.

1. Visual Icons
LTI's Face Profiler displays visual icons during the step-by-step procedure when performing a profile setup. It demonstrates shooting the floor, toe, crest and when profiling in the abnormalities of the face.
2. Identify Stemming Depths
Mark the top and bottom of a seam encountered while profiling a rock face. This will aid you in stemming the hole at corresponding depths of seams or loose overburden.
3. Actual Toe
This function interactively removes slough at the bottom of the face for a more accurate representation of the toe.
4. Minimum and Optimum Burdens
Face Profiler instantly calculates the distance between the borehole and the nearest free face to determine the total amount of material to be blasted by a given hole. It also computes drill hole angles and hole depths, including sub-drill, all from your profile data.
