General Instruments For Track Maintenace

General railway tools for track maintenance are a collection of railway track maintenance instruments and equipment which ensure proper management of a multitude of issues encountered in railway track construction and wear.  Tracks need to be monitored regularly for corrosion, width of track gaps, gradient, Width of Rail Head, Thickness of Web, Width of foot and Height of Rail, gap between rail joints etc.

Proper functioning of railway systems are dependent on minute in both track construction and maintenance, especially when it comes to welding.

DIGITAL CORROSSION MEASURING GAUGE MODEL – PCMG-2

‘PIE’ brand Digital Corrosion Measuring Gauge Model PCMG-2 is used for measuring the depth of cavity developed due to corrosion of rails.

GRADIENT SPIRIT LEVEL MODEL SLG-1

‘PIE’ Brand Gradient spirit level with Magnetic attachment Model SLG–1 is used to provide in 1 in 20 (5%) or 1 in 40 (2.5%) inclination of rails. The spirit level is useful for Track layers and provided complete in box.

RAIL SLIDING CALIPER MODEL- RC-1

‘PIE’ brand Rail Sliding Caliper Model RC – 1 complete in cordura case capable of measurement of following: – Width of Rail Head, Thickness of Web, Width of foot and Height of Rail. Least count 1.0 mm. Covers a wide range of rail sections.

SPIRIT LEVEL MODEL SL-2

‘PIE’ Brand Special Spirit Level Model SL–2 with double housing and provided with arrangement for subsequent adjustment, without box. Generally as per RDSO latest Drg. no. TM-2004, Specification no. TM-52. Approved and accepted by RDSO & Railway Board.

TAPER GAUGE

‘PIE’ brand Export quality Tapered gauge duly graduated to give 1 mm up to 25 mm, suitable for measurement of flange wear and clearances and gaps on railway track and carriages.
